RE: summer programming at Riley rink for Girls

Everybody,

Great work today at the game.  Everyone gave a great effort and it is obvious that all the girls are making great progress.

I have attached the hill hockey brochure which outlines the girls specific opportunities at the riley rink for this summer.  Brent Hill is the coach of the u14 VT selects team that Danielle Marmer and Lilly Ross play for.  He gave a clinic to our girls once this season.

I know that Brent can help in the development of your girls. I have worked with him this season and I can tell you that he does a terrific job and that he really gets the most out of the girls he coaches. His style is low key, decisive, insightful, highly communicative, and based on fundamentals. He is highly skilled and a great skater. He does not allow girls to practice things incorrectly and in this way every player at every practice session gets better. He has been coaching women's college players for years.

I think that everyone should attend one or both of the clinics, if possible.  There will be other programing at the rink and all of you should consider enrolling as soon as possible into those also.  It is important to think about your summer now, so you and your players can plan trips and camps.

We are trying to attract good players from the area (rutland, brattleboro, woodstock, NY) to enroll in these clinics also.  This will make it even more fun and productive for our players.  I would like all of our players to imrpove over the off season, so they can really shine next season with better skating, stickhandling and shooting. We have such a great resource here (in our own back yard) and we need to nurture it by staying involved in the off season.

We will probably have a off ice schedule in addition to these camps for those interested.  I really want those sessions to aid in shooting, stickhandling and gamesmanship (how to score, attack).

Best regards,
Emil Miskovsky for the U14 coaching team

p.s. Susan Marmer:  could you make available to this email list and to the master NHA email list an outline of the programing for the summer at the rink, please?  I would like to see that we can sign up for these camps even before our season ends.
